The DataGuard rf Tape Tracking System from Imation is a design and engineering breakthrough that puts the range, reliability and accuracy of RFID (radio frequency identification) into your data center. With integrated RFID-volser labels (patent pending the US and other countries), Imation combines proven technology into one robust and secure label that incorporates RFID technology, Volser identification and advanced UHF technology.

The DataGuard rf system helps reduce the risk of lost and misfiled tapes and improves both efficiency and reliability. The user scans RFID-enabled cartridges, either individually or up to 20 cartridges within a transport case, as they arrive and exit a location. The system automatically logs each cartridge transaction into a database that is linked to the customer's tape management system. This solution is 100% accurate, providing you confidence, reliability and control in your data center.
